Light planner
Pick a date and location and find the best time to shoot: golden hour, weather and the moon phase in one place.
The best photos are not luck, they happen when the light is beautiful. Pick a date and location and see the golden hour, the weather and the moon phase for that day, so you catch the perfect moment.
Why the golden hour
The hour after sunrise and before sunset gives soft, warm light with no harsh shadows. Portraits look natural and the scene gets an atmosphere you cannot get during the day.
Weather matters too. A clear sky gives strong, golden light, light clouds make it even and flattering, and an overcast sky works like a giant softbox, ideal for portraits. That is why we show the forecast next to the golden hour.
For night and moonlit shots, watch the moon phase: a full moon lights up the landscape, a new moon is best for star photos. Once you have a date and location, get in touch and we will fine-tune the shoot.
